Women's Ministry WMPCQ - Presbyterian Church Queensland
OUR LOGO
was designed by Danny Allen, Graphic Designer.
The Women's Ministries mark is comprised of a symbol and namestyle.

A study of the passage in Proverbs 31that speaks of the woman of virtue, reveals the words “hand” or “hands”are used no less than six times. Using this as inspiration, a symbol has been designed based on three sets of handsin a series of actions.

The bottom pair are held out, slightly cupped, ready to lift up and support—symbolic ofloving, nurturing relationships.

The middle pair represent the receivingand giving of the Word—the hand onthe left is cupped as if held to an earto enhance hearing (“gathering”), while the hand on the right is extended in an act of sharing and outreach (“sowing”).

The top pair is raised heavenward as in prayer and worship—an acknowledgement of the command to do all to the glory of God.

The colour purple has been chosen as various verses associate it with women of character and beauty (Proverbs 31:22 and Song Solomon 7:5for example).

The namestyle, set with the font Trebuchet, is clean and contemporary.

The scarlet colour represents the cord by which Rahab and her family werespared by the Israelites in Joshua 2—itself a pointer to the salvation that can only be found through faith in Jesus Christ.

May God use the Women's Ministries mark to enhance the profile and productivity of this valuable organisation within His church.
